Hope in action – mental health and suicide prevention – 11:00 – 12:00

Join Ellie MacDonald for a special session focused on mental health and suicide prevention.

The founder and CEO of HelloHope, Ellie formed the Community Interest Company in May 2024, following her dad’s suicide and having battled poor mental health herself.

Focused on hope, HelloHope leads from a place of positivity, understanding that most suicides are preventable. Ellie will share some tips and advice on how to ensure your workforce, loved ones and communities feel supported, what signs to look out for and how to safely and confidently intervene to help reduce future suicides.

Ellie will also discuss what the new British Standard in Suicide Prevention in the Workplace (BS 3480) means.

Providing a safe space, no graphic methods of death will be discussed, the session aims to be an uplifting, educational session with a chance to ask Ellie anything.

This session is ideal for HR, people, wellbeing and business leaders. Stay on at Department for another key session by Leeds Wellbeing Week headline sponsors, EGYM Hussle.

Donations are very welcome to help support the organisation of Leeds Wellbeing Week and HelloHope’s important work in mental health and suicide prevention.
